Specific Ingredient Focus

Why MSM?

MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) is a natural compound found in food. It helps with skin regeneration and repair, boosts collagen production, and reduces inflammation and signs of aging. MSM can benefit all skin types and ages. It is highly effective in the treatment of skin conditions, including acne, eczema and psoriasis, as well as sensitive, and problematic skin. It helps keep skin healthy and guards against premature ageing and skin damage.

Why Meadowfoam Seed Oil?

LIMNANTHES ALBA (Meadowfoam) SEED OIL is known to work in a similar way to the sebum the skin produces naturally, which makes it particularly effective at sealing in moisture. It also helps to balance the skin’s natural oil production, contributing to a more even complexion.

While the oil is very similar to the fats our skin naturally produces, it does not block pores (which would cause pimples) the way some oils might. The oil also may help improve acne-prone skin by signaling the body not to produce excess sebum, a cause of some breakouts.

Why Safflower Seed Oil

Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil moisturises the skin and is rich in protective antioxidants.

It has anti-inflammatory effects and helps promote wound healing. Safflower Carrier Oil is ideal for hydrating dry or acne-prone skin while soothing irritation, rashes, and inflammation.

It is reputed to enhance the skin’s texture, appearance, and quality.

Why CBD?

CBD (Cannabidiol) is the non-intoxicating component of cannabis or hemp plants. It is a popular natural remedy that has been used for many common ailments for thousands of years. CBD is one of over 100 beneficial chemical compounds known as cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant.

Research indicate that CBD:
  • Promote blood flow
  • Helps to reduce inflammation
  • Has significant soothing properties
  • Help to reduce swelling, pain, and redness
  • Have an anti-inflammatory effect on the skin cells
  • Improve skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.
  • Is rich in antioxidants
  • Promote cell regeneration
  • Improves the skin’s health
  • Keeps skin moisturized
  • Encourages pain relief
  • Deep skin & tissue penetration

In an article published on the USA Government’s website National Library of Medicine dated 30 June 2021, the writer states that “Moreover, CBD treatment regulates proliferation via activation of CB1 receptor of keratinocytes in hair follicles” and “There are some reports that CBD can promote the growth of the hair. CBD oil contains high concentration of vitamin E, which can stimulate hair growth and help improvement of alopecia.” (baldness.) In addition, it says that “preclinical evidence suggests topical application of CBD may be efficacious for some skin disorders, and inflammatory diseases”.
